More trouble than a vacuum should be!
We bought a house that has central vac, I got this attachment 3 months ago after doing some research. It seemed to be the best choice, it is not! It barely works!
just about anything will jam the turbine up. Even dog hair! We have 2 dogs, I vacuum 2-3 times a week and every other time we use this we have to completely disassemble it and clean out every little part! Also, every time you use it, sometimes twice per use, you have to clean off the rotating brush part, even a very small amount of material collected on it will make it not function properly. This thing is more trouble than it is worth!! Even when it is perfectly clean, it doesn't do a great job. We never ever had these problems with our good old kenmore canister! I'm thinking about switching back.
Better than previous model
We previously had a turbo cat (without the "zoom") that pretty much died after about 10 years. The Zoom model works better than the previous model when it was new. Even the kids had to try it out and they vaccum less than a solar eclipes would occur.
Works fine.
This vacuum head works better than my old one but it is not the amazing tool I was hoping it would be. There just doesn't seem to be a combination of parts for this kind of central vac that make it really work super well.
