Superb & Befitting the Electrolux Brand
Electrolux was a vacuum cleaner that many eons ago was sold only door to door by specialty salespeople. I have owned a Electrolux canister for more than half a century and am thrilled with this new bagless canister. It has a 26 foot electric cord so many areas can be reached without plugging and unplugging. It is quiet, has big wheels so that it rolls perfectly and numerous attachments for every type of floor or upholstered furniture (including a special pet hair removal attachment. I have three cats and it has done a remarkable job of cleaning pesky cat hairs off my furniture, the cats' climbing condo, as well as my bare wood and tile floors. The crevice tool is very useful for getting into corners. The vacuum weights just a bit more than 8-lbs. so it is easy to move from floor to floor. The baggless canister was very easy to open and the cord rewinds itself at the push of a button. I prefer canister vacuums and highly recommend this model.
Great for smaller spaces like dorms, studios, ... not for whole house cleaning
I was excited to have this vacuum. The name Electrolux sounds very familiar and the design on picture looks very futuristic. I had so many vacs before and this came in one of the smallest boxes to date. This vac is small and light, but it has so many attachments that come with it (but should have included a bag to store them all after using it). One attachment looks unique, a flat tool that is designed to go beneath furniture. The concept is great, but it feels like a toy and there is little suction through it. There is a long telescopic tube so you can reach farther if needs be. The floor carpet tool is equipped with a rotating brush, but there is no electric power attached to it and it works only utilizing the vac's wind power.
I love the retractable power cable and I think all vacs should have this feature. Two of my Panasonic canister vacs come with it. This is a bag less vac, the big advantage is you don't have to spend more for bags or wait until the new bags...
I am not impressed
This is the 5th Electrolux vacuum cleaner I've owned, and the only one I really don't like.
The other 4 units I have had are all bag cleaners. I was really excited to get an Electrolux that was bagless. The other bagless cleaner (Hoover Zen) I have is awful, so I didn't have very high hopes for this one.
In a nutshell, this vacuum cleaner doesn't have much suction power. I tried all of the different attachments, thinking that maybe one would be better than the others, but none of them were particularly strong. In fact, the suction was so weak I thought that maybe I had put the unit together incorrectly. This would have been very difficult to do as it is very simple to assemble.
Although it is much smaller than the Electrolux Green, it is much heavier. The hose and attachments, however, are significantly lighter and less substantial.
This vacuum cleaner, unlike the Electrolux Green, isn't good on hard floors and it's not good on carpets,...
