Best Price Ever!
Yes, this is the proper Sears Kenmore dishwasher replacement gasket. I ordered and replaced my worn out, frayed gasket all by myself! By the time my husband got home from work, I showed him the new gasket in the dishwasher. I think he was impressed. I hunted all over for the best deal, and Amazon.com had the best price by far. Buy one before your dishwasher starts leaking. I did.

fixed the leak (for which the repair person wanted $600!)
it actually seem to provide a much better seal than the one that originally came with the washer, seal is tight, and there is no play with the door (as was even when the machine was new)
however, I see no reason why this piece of rubber should cost so much, still Amazon had the best price.

Purchased to replace a fraying and old dishwasher seal that kept coming out of its place every time the door was opened after a wash cycle. The old one was also prone to leaking on occasion.
This replacement seal is a perfect fit. Simply placed it into the channel - starting at the middle of the seal and pushed it into place either side. Closed dishwasher and kept closed overnight - no adhesive used - and we haven't had any issues since.
